In this project for English 495: Digital Literacies and Humanities (Spring 2017), students reflected on their experience authoring articles in Wikipedia. Over the course of the semester, students were responsible for: selecting pages to edit or create in Wikipedia; analyzing content gaps; mastering Wikipedia conventions and authoring tools; researching page topics; writing and formatting their Wikipedia pages; soliciting and responding to feedback from Wikipedia content experts and fellow Wikipedians; publishing their articles. (Throughout, the Wiki Ed team (and their course template) were crucial collaborators.) Students’ final reflections were composed and published via multimedia Scalar books.
